Packages

Birth Package

Once you have booked me as your doula I will usually visit you at least three times before you reach 38 weeks, to discuss your requirements, expectations, birth preferences and life with a newborn. These antenatal visits usually last approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours. From 38 weeks I will then be on call 24 hour/ 7 days a week , until you go into labour (this can be up to 5 weeks). Once you are in labour I will come to you, either at home or in hospital, and stay with you until you give birth. I am happy to go into theatre with you should you need/choose a c-section. I only leave once you and your baby are settled and you are happy for me to go. I revisit you about a week later to discuss how the birth went.

Shared Care Package

This includes everything from the Birth Package but your care will be shared between myself and another doula who I work closely with. You will meet both of us before you commit to booking. Both doulas will attend the antenatal sessions. The 'on call' period will be shared and only one doula will attend your birth. Effectively, you are getting the experience and support of two doulas.

Postnatal Package

This can begin within a week of giving birth, or once you alone with the baby, i.e. when your partner returns to work or your family goes home. I visit at pre arranged times to help you with your new baby, feeding, other children, cooking, light housework, minding the baby while you have a sleep/bath etc. Visits are for a minimum of 3 hours duration and can continue for as many weeks/months as you need.
